7 Facts about me
I was nominated by lovely Katharina to write 7 facts about me. First of all I thought, actually I don’t know what to write plus I need to admit that I am terribly lazy when it comes to writing blog entries since I’ve come back from my big trip. There’s a lot of untold stories about it by the way. But anyway, here I am, writing 7 facts about me and hopefully getting inspired again to tell you more about the past adventures in Asia afterwards.
#1 I am living in extremes. I only know either black or white. When I’ve decided to do something, I go for it. Nevertheless I need to act irresponsible for it. I’m totally guided by my feelings and most of the time the harshest decisions I make as spontaneously as possible are the best ones.
#2 This is a part of my favorite citation from Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī, one of the most meaningful poets in history: “[…] yesterday is nothing but a dream and tomorrow is a vision. But this day – if you really live it properly – turns every yesterday into a dream full of joy and every tomorrow into a vision full of hope. So take good care about today!”
#3 Last month I jumped out of an old and very used Cessna – 4000 meters above the ground. When I looked out of the aircraft, there was a sea of white clouds underneath. We jumped right into it. It felt like tiny, little ice crystals tickling my skin. We went down so fast that I barely couldn’t breathe. 240 km/h. I didnt’ know what to say almost one hour afterwards.
#4 2015 was the year of my life so far: I quit my job. I went travelling a couple of months. I stroked a tiger. I got my first tattoo in Vietnam. My second one in Cambodia. I travelled to 6 countries. I got a new job. I started to work as a volunteer additionally. I jumped out of an aircraft. I touched a cloud. And the greatest gift was to learn what friendship is all about – with some amazing new and some truly loved old friends.
#5 Since I had seen some Filipinos, during my travels, who were about to kill a pig, which screamed horribly loud and terrified, I’m vegetarian again.
#6 Next year I’m going to India for one month. Enjoying the pleasure of the glorious Indian food, meditation, yoga and living in an Ashram to experience spirituality.
#7 I firmly believe that you can have everything you want in life! The only thing you need to do is, exactly picture your wish in your mind, and then let it go… And when you don’t think about it, it will happen to you exactly how you wanted it to happen.
Those were 7 highly interesting facts about me 😉 I would like to nominate my gorgeous travel-mate Jessica. She’s somewhere in the United States at the moment, as I could guess by the pictures she’s sent me recently. I’m very excited to read 7 facts about her!
